I went to see Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief today.
I haven't read the books, so didn't really know much about the movie and didn't have massive expectations.
However, I completely enjoyed it and would love to watch it again. I'm going to have to read the books now and see how they compare. A lot of comments I've read say that the books are better than the movie.
As a note, Pierce Brosnan and Uma Thurman were in the movie as well.
